This is the story of a fish that can survive in hot (warm) desert lands and in water, where it acts like an amphibian.
   amphibians are those who can live in water and on land. same as tortoises ,crocodiles . but this creature cannot survive as like them it can survive up to a few hours and days of time.
 
They are not a normal type of fish it is are armored catfish which consist of special characteristics to the regular types of fishes .armored catfishes mostly leave in under groundwater where water condition is full of dark mud and dirt they adapted to live in these  type of conditions 

why armored catfish used to walk on land?

  Armored catfish mostly live in dark dirt water where a mixture of water and clay in the bottom part of a river or lake something. so the armored catfish are adapted to survive under these conditions during the summer season when temperatures increase where water gets evaporated so it used to find another home to live at this moment the armored catfish used to go on to the land start moving to find another pond or lake any water area.


how armored catfish breath.

        Armored catfish live in muddy clay places where the flow of the stream is very slow .and the level of oxygen is also less so the armored catfish adapted to breathe air on the surface. at the time of draughts, they use their fins to walk on the ground to find a new home.

what do the armored catfish eats?

    It eats mostly dead matter which is present at bottom of the ponds, and streams whereas larva, insects, snails, algae, and plant matter.  

     This fish can grow up to 3inches too 3 feet long they consist of largemouth which used to swallow and bite hardly using teeth. the life span of nearly 5to 8 years at that moment they grow very heavy.
 female armored catfish can lay more than350 eggs in their nests' male catfish guard their eggs to lay 4to 6 days in fact due to the large vascular stomach they can intake air and survive more than 20hours outside of water.
